AN EVENT ON "INCREASING FINANCIAL LITERACY AND CASHLESS PAYMENTS IN MODERN CONDITIONS" WAS HELD AT SSU
On May 3, an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was organized by the department of Finance and accounting of the faculty of Economics and management of SSU on the topic "Increasing financial literacy and cashless payments in modern conditions". Bakhtiyar Mammadov, member of the Board of directors of "Turan Bank" OJSC, general director of Information technologies, along with professors and students of the faculty of Economics and management, participated in the event.
The speaker of the event, Shalala Mammadova, senior lecturer of the department of Finance and accounting, welcomed the participants and spoke about the importance of the event.
Associate professor Aynura Yahyayeva, dean of the faculty of Economics and management, specifically noted the importance of the topic presented in order to increase financial literacy among students. The dean stated that the organization of similar events related to the functioning of the banking system in the conditions of new economic relations is necessary for the economists of the future. In this direction, she thanked the financial organizations cooperating with Sumgayit State University, as well as the representatives of the banking sector, especially the representatives of "Turan Bank" OJSC.
Then Nurana Baghirova, senior laboratory assistant of the department of Finance and accounting, gave a speech on the topic "Formation and development history of cashless payments".
The speaker then gave the floor to Bakhtiyar Mammadov, member of the Board of directors of "Turan Bank" OJSC, general director of Information technologies. Bakhtiyar Mammadov expressed his gratitude for being invited to the event and gave an extensive report on "Increasing financial literacy in modern conditions and non-cash payments". He noted that the main purpose of the legislation on cashless payments is to control the money in circulation, to strengthen transparency in the field of fulfilling tax obligations, and to ensure the protection of consumers" rights.
After the speeches, opinions were exchanged on the topic and the questions of the event participants were answered.
