A scientific-practical conference called "Heydar Aliyev is the founder of independent Azerbaijani electroenergetics" was held at SSU
On May 4, a scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, "Heydar Aliyev is the founder of the independent Azerbaijan electric power industry", was organized by the faculty of Physics and electroenergetics of Sumgayit State University.
First, a video about the life and activities of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev was shown. The dear memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was commemorated with a minute of silence.
The conference started with the poem "Great Leader" performed by Musa Khalilov, a third-year student of the faculty.
Associate professor Elmar Khalilov, vice-rector for Social issues and public relations of the university, said in his introduction that the period of rapid development of Azerbaijan's electricity system is connected with the name of the National Leader.
Elmar Khalilov reminded that many large-scale projects were implemented in the country's electricity supply during the first leadership of the Great Leader, and noted that our country was the initiator and active participant of huge energy projects. The vice-rector emphasized that the "Southern Gas Corridor" occupies an important place in the history of our nation, and it is Azerbaijan's next contribution to energy security issues.
Associate professor Tamella Ahmadova, dean of the faculty of Physics and electroenergetics, delivered a report on "Heydar Aliyev's role in the formation of Azerbaijan's independent energy system". The dean said that the last fifty years of the long and glorious history of Azerbaijan's electric power industry, more than a hundred years, is connected with the name of the National Leader, and spoke about the fundamental reforms carried out by President Ilham Aliyev in this direction.
Valeh Nasibov, head of the department of the Azerbaijan Scientific-Research and Design Prospecting Institute of Energy, spoke on the topic "Today and tomorrow of Azerbaijan's electric power industry", talking about the multifaceted statehood activities of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, his unparalleled services in building an independent state.
Araz Mammadzadeh, director of "Azerishig" OJSC Training and Innovation Center, gave extensive information about the large-scale reconstruction works of the institution he represented, construction of the electric power sector based on modern requirements, and gave a report on "Azerishig - Electrification of territories freed from occupation". The director of the Center noted that the liberated territories were declared a Karabakh "green energy" zone, and the relevant Decree of President Ilham Aliyev was signed in this regard.
Then there was an exchange of ideas around the topic.
The conference ended with the poem "Dada Heydar".
