"BEST PRESENTATION" COMPETITION ON "HEYDAR ALIYEV AND MODERN AZERBAIJANI YOUTH" WAS HELD AT SSU
On May 13, the Heydar Aliyev Center of Sumgayit State University and student organizations jointly organized the "Best Presentation" competition for students and graduates on the topic "Heydar Aliyev and modern Azerbaijani youth".
The vice-rector for Social affairs and public relations of the university, associate professor Elmar Khalilov, opened the event and congratulated the students who participated in the competition and spoke about the importance of holding such competitions in the university. He said that the dear memory of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev is always remembered with great respect and deep gratitude by our people. Heydar Aliyev's legacy is constantly studied at SSU, and for this occasion various events, international scientific conferences, concert programs and other events and competitions are organized dedicated to his dear memory.
The "Best Presentation" competition on the theme "Heydar Aliyev and modern Azerbaijani youth" held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Great Leader is one of the projects realized in the direction of research and promotion of his legacy. Our students participate in this competition, which has become a tradition and they prepared the presentations about the great personality, and shed light on the great leader's rich political heritage, honorable life path and multifaceted activities.
Docent Elmar Khalilov also noted that Great Leader Heydar Aliyev loved young people very much and paid attention and care to their progress, education and other important issues in his youth policy. It is gratifying that in our country, the wishes and aspirations of the Great Leader for the youth are realizing. He wants to see educated, talented, decent teenagers and young people. Today all the ideas of Heydar Aliyev are successfully continued in our country by his worthy follower, President Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
In the end, the vice-rector wished success to the participants.
Then the members of the jury evaluated the topics submitted to the competition - Tarana Namazova, director of the Heydar Aliyev Center, Elshad Aliyev, a teacher of the department of the Azerbaijani language and its teaching methodology, Amirkhan Isayev, associate professor of the department of history of Azerbaijan and Eastern Europe nations, Ali Rzayev, senior lecturer of the department of the Azerbaijani language and its teaching methodology.
According to the results of the competition, Rahman Hajiyev, a 3rd-year student of the faculty of History and geography the first place, Sakina Babayeva, a 3rd-year student of the faculty of Engineering, were awarded the 2nd place, Narmin Mohsunlu, a 1st-year student of the faculty of Economics and management, was awarded the 3rd place.
We should note that the students who took place in the competition will be awarded with the Honorary Diploma of Sumgayit State University and cash prize, and the selected students will be awarded with motivational certificates.
