AN EVENT ON THE TOPIC OF "MANAGING EXAM STRESS" WAS HELD AT THE PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICE CENTER AT SSU
On June 19, an event on "Managing exam stress" was held at the Psychological Service Center operating under Sumgayit State University. The event was organized by associate professor Aytekin Mammadova, head of the department of Pedagogy and psychology. Associate professors Sever Mirzayeva, Jeyhun Mammadov, Shahnaz Guliyeva, Ayna Hajiyeva, Kamala Salamova, senior lecturer Sevinj Rzayeva also participated in the event.
Speaking at the event, Aytekin Mammadova talked about the psychological problems faced by students during the exam. She pointed out exam stress and anxiety among students as one of the main problems, and gave detailed information about the signs of stress, the way out of this situation, and stress management.
Later, discussions were held on determining the topics of events to be implemented in the center for the next academic year.
At the end, students" opinions on the topic were heard and their questions were answered.
It should be noted that the Psychological Service Center at SSU has been operating since 2018. The main goal of the center is to provide psychological help to students, diagnose the students" communication with their group mates, and determine the psychological causes of communication disorders.
