Eid al-Adha is one of the holiest holidays in the Islamic world. The fact that this holiday, which is based on humanist values and higher human feelings, is of great importance for  Muslims, is celebrated every year in Azerbaijan at a high level. It is a bright manifestation of the attention our state shows to our national and moral values. Historically connected to Islam and its progressive traditions, our people have kept these values alive for centuries and our country has become one of the cultural centers of Islamic civilization. In Azerbaijan, all religious holidays, including Sacrifice ceremonies, are held with great solemnity and high spirits every year. On these days, blessings are done for the progress of our state, the well-being and peace of our people, charitable events are carried out, and the memory of our martyrs is remembered with respect. These values recognize our republic as one of the exemplary places of tolerance and multiculturalism in the world. All good intentions, prayers and wishes come true year after year, and. The brilliant Victory of our glorious Army over the enemy in the Patriotic War is a clear expression of this supreme desire - to regain our rights to the Motherland. It is a proud factor that graduates, students and employees of SSU have a share in the 44-day Victory War.

As every year, the rector of Sumgayit State University professor Elkhan Huseynov  congratulated the staff on the occasion of the holy Eid al-Adha, which is a symbol of spiritual unity and solidarity of the Muslims of the world, and wished everyone good health, long life, peace, and successes in the the development of science and education and pleased all employees of the university with a cash prize as a holiday gift.

It should be noted that this goodwill mission is always felt at Sumgayit State University. In order to improve the social condition of employees, financial support is provided to all employees of the university every year on the eve of World Azerbaijani Solidarity Day, Nowruz, Ramadan, and Qurban holidays.
