ASIIN EXPERTS VİSİTED SUMGAYİT STATE UNİVERSİTY
On October 10, Sumgayit State University received the expert group of ASIIN (Accreditation Agency for Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics educational programs).
According to the agreement dated October 17, 2022, signed between ASIIN and SSU, located in Dusseldorf, Germany, 3 degree programs of the university"s faculty of Engineering will be internationally accredited.
The chairman of the ASIIN expert group is professor of Chemnitz University Madhukar Chandra, the members are professor of Hamburg University of Applied Sciences Wolfgang Renz, from Bosch company Dr.Alfred Schulte, from ADA University student Ilhama Novruzova, and the project coordinator Paulina Petrachenko. Rector of SSU Rufat Azizov first received the expert group and talked about the future activities, strategic goals, vision of the university and the importance of international accreditation in renewing degree programs.
Then the rector presented gifts to the guests.
In the second half of the day, SSU vice-rector for International relations associate professor Gafar Atayev, head of the department of International cooperation and foreign students Sadagat Fatullayeva, head of the Quality Assurance department Narmin Hasanova, chairman of the Student Union Committee Elmin Novruzlu, director of the Language and Translation Center Jala Mammadova, dean of the faculty of Engineering, associate professor Ulduz Aghayev, and the heads of departments for the 3 programs to be accredited, associate professor Gadir Mansurov, professor Javanshir Mammadov, and associate professor Agil Huseynov held a meeting.
Note that the International Accreditation process will continue for 3 days.
