SSU qualified for the semi-final stage of the "48th ICPC-International Programming of University Students" competition
Azerbaijani higher education institutions have been participating in the "ICPC - International Programming of University Students" competition since 2005. Baku Engineering University is the organizer of the competition in Azerbaijan, which consists of several stages.
Baku Engineering University and ADA University organized the regional stage of the "48th ICPC-University Students" International Programming" competition (XIX Azerbaijan First).
56 teams (each team consists of three students and a team leader) from 23 higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan participated in the competition. Teams were tasked with solving 13 algorithmic problems in C, C++, Java or Python programming languages within 5 hours. The assessment was carried out using an automatic assessment system.
Four teams represented SSU, which participated in this competition for the first time. The SSU-3 team, led by Javanshir Mammadov, professor of the "Automation and Control Department" of the University"s Engineering Faculty, successfully passed both stages. Thus, the team members consisting of 2nd year students of the Faculty of Engineering Sakhavat Jafarli, Movla Ahmed, Amin Najafli will participate in the semi-finals under the guidance of Professor Javanshir Mammadov.
It should be noted that our team, which won the right to participate in the semi-final stage of the "48th ICPC - International Programming of University Students" competition and the South Caucasus open championship (team and individual), which will be held in the Republic of Georgia on December 10-14 of this year, is among the favorites of the championship.
