Memorial Day of our national leaderHeydarAliyev, who contributed much to  the history of  Azerbaijan  was marked In the Faculty of  Physics and Electrical Energetics by professors, teachers and students. In the meeting honored the memory of national leader HeydarAliyev, Head of the Faculty, associate professor TamillaAhmadovamentioned that the world history has proved person`s strength, wisdom, courage and political will has an irreplaceable role in the life of the state. HeydarAliyev, Founder of the modern independent state,  has a special place among the identities. A 30-year period that HeydarAliyev was in power,  is the history of  our people`s independence , growth of struggles and victories. Two-thirds of the 30 years that HeydarAliyev led Azerbaijan, was in the Soviet Union period. During these years, despite the harsh regime of the Soviet Empire, HeydarAliyev did his best for the future independence of Azerbaijan and gained his rightful place in history. ElmarKhalilov, assoc. prof. of the department of Azerbaijan History, stressed that return of the national leader of newly independent Azerbaijan was at the same time when Azerbaijan was on the threshold of erasement  from the political map of the world. Armenian armed forces had occupied a large part of the territory of Azerbaijan, the economy had failed, conflicts between armed groups had reached the brink of civil war. HeydarAliyev was the last hope of the people. Thanks to his great efforts socio-political stability was restored in the country, occupation of the lands were prevented from notorious neighbors, new  political and economic conceptions were developed in order to determine Azerbaijan`s geopolitical position in the world politics  in the near future. HeydarAliyev will live in hearts of our appreciative Azerbaijani people.
Khalil Sultanov, a second- year student of the Faculty of Physics and Electrical Energetics , LeylaAghayeva, chairman of the NAP Youth Union of the Faculty, mentioned that our national leader`s rich heritage is permanent and eternal, also they added that there are holy and wise ideas of  national leader on the basis of our success. It was noted that HeydarAliyev is considered to be the founder of modern era of Azerbaijan. It is undeniable fact that the endless light of HeydarAliyev genius will shed light on independence of  Azerbaijan forever.
