The presentation of the documentary film ‘Sarı gəlinin sorağında’ was held at SSU
On November 22, at Sumgayit State University, with the financial support of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations, within the framework of the project ‘Western Azerbaijan: our material and cultural heritage’ implemented by the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan, the full-length documentary film ‘Sarı gəlinin sorağında’and the website western-azerbaijan.az a presentation ceremony was held for teachers and students.
The head of the Department of Literature of Azerbaijan and Foreign Countries Professor Avtandil Mammadov, who delivered the opening speech, welcomed the participants on behalf of Rector Rufat Azizov and he thanked the creative team of the film.
Fuzuli Sabiroglu, the creator of the site and the screenwriter of the film, informed the audience about the general project.
After the speeches, a documentary film was shown.
It should be noted that the main goal of the full-length documentary film ‘Sarı gəlinin sorağında’ based on the motifs of the folk song ‘Sarı gəlin’ and Hikmet Babaoglu's ‘Akdamardan Sarı Gəlinədək erməni yalanı’ is the promotion of our material and cultural heritage in the territory of Western Azerbaijan, and for nearly 200 years, Armenians it is the exposure of their activities towards the destruction of this heritage.
