An info session on cyber security was held
On November 23, an info session on cyber security was held at Sumgayit State University.
Nasiba Amirbeyova, head of the university's Career and Alumni Center, opened the event with an opening speech, greeted the guests and participants, and spoke about the increasing cyberthreats in the modern era and the important nuances of protecting against them.
Nasiba Amirbeyova also noted that representatives of the Association of Azerbaijan Cyber Security Organizations recently visited Sumgayit State University, where it was noted that the creation of a "Cyber club" and all kinds of organizational and informational support would be provided by AASCO. Today is the first training of the club. It was also mentioned that the person who organizes the events, competitions and trainings held by the "Cyber Club" is Saida Ahmadova, a first-year student of the Faculty of History and Geography.
Then Zaur Gasimov, the founder and head of the MilliSec platform, spoke about what cyber security is and the strategic importance of cyber security.
Suleyman Aliyev, an Information Security specialist at the Deposit Insurance Fund (ISSDIF), gave information about cyber security, ways to prevent cyber threats, and the development of start-up projects in the direction of cyber security.
At the end, discussions on the topic were held and participants' questions were answered.
