EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOP ON AIDS AT SSU
On December 1, SSU organized an educational seminar with the participation of students and graduate students in connection with World AIDS Day.
The vice-rector of the university for Social issues and public relations, associate professor Elmar Khalilov, opened the seminar with an opening speech, greeted the participants, and gave detailed information about the harm caused by AIDS and drug addiction, which have become the scourge of the century, to people, especially the young generation, and the actions taken in the field of combating these harmful habits. He noted that not only state structures, but also our society should actively participate in this work. The vice-rector urged the students to protect the health of the young generation and stay away from bad habits for the sake of the social progress and bright future of our country.
Then Khanahmed Hasanov, associate professor of the department of Biology and its teaching methodology, gave detailed information to the participants of the seminar about the serious consequences of harmful habits on human health, the ways of AIDS infection and the danger of spreading the disease through a video about HIV/AIDS, among the dangerous diseases caused by the human immunodeficiency virus. It is conducted educational conversations with students about methods of protection, sanitary and hygienic rules and healthy lifestyle.
At the end, the students' questions about the topic were answered.
