Since our disabled citizens are essential part of our society that need the most care, it is important to pay attention to them. Most of them need spiritual help more than financial or any other help. Therefore, a number of measures are implemented by the state in order to improve the social and financial condition of the disabled, to ensure that they live as equal members in our society. For this purpose, on December 1, an event was held at Sumgayit State University, jointly organized by the Student Union Committee and the Center for Inclusive Education, in connection with the International Day of Disabled Persons.
The citizen factor is at the center of the successful policy of President Mr. Ilham Aliyev, he always pays attention to the needs and problems of the disabled and to creating the most favorable conditions for their full integration into the society. aims to raise them and create the necessary conditions for them to use the university"s services, programs and other educational opportunities. For this purpose, an inclusive educational environment has been created at the university. This environment will ensure that education is accessible to all, protect social equality, and meet the educational and other special needs of young people with disabilities.

At the event, the head of the department of Pedagogy and psychology, associate professor Aytekin Mammadova, the person in charge of the Inclusive Education Center, spoke about the rights of people with disabilities and the problems that arise from it and are relevant for our country. In addition to stating that the most important factor is the fact that people with disabilities live in an inclusive society, she also gave detailed information about the term "inclusion" to the participants.
In general, it is the duty of every member of our society to pay attention and care to persons with disabilities, especially children.
Tural Ibrahimov and Nazila Ibrahimova, students with disabilities studying at the university, were awarded the Honorary diploma by the Student Union Committee for their active participation in the public life and education of the university.
