STUDENTS OF SSU WON A SILVER MEDAL AT THE INTERNATIONAL "STEAM AZERBAIJAN" FESTIVAL
On December 4, the opening ceremony of the International "STEAM Azerbaijan" Festival 2023 was held at the Baku Expo Center with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education. Officials of state institutions, deputies, rectors, directors of scientific research institutes, well-known public representatives and other guests took part in the opening ceremony.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev welcomed the guests and said that the festival, which has been traditionally held for the third year, is a prestigious and important event in the field of education. The minister also said that in the new science and education standards to be written in 2025, some elements of STEAM will become part of the national curriculum, and some elements of 3D robotics will be included in the content of the technology subject in the new standards. The minister emphasized that the future goal is to ensure the comprehensive development of the future generation, not by dividing it into humanitarian or technical aspects.
At the end of his speech, Emin Amrullayev thanked everyone who contributed to the organization of the festival and wished success to the participants.
Later, the head of the "STEAM Azerbaijan" project, Igrar Nazarov, gave detailed information about the project and the festival.
