The Mediation Council held an educational meeting with SSU students
On December 8, an educational event on mediation was held at Sumgayit State University on the initiative of Sumgayit City Mediation Organization No. 1.
At the event, along with the faculty and student staff of the university, the members of the Mediation Council: Etibar Hasanov, head of Sumgayit No. 1 Mediation Organization and mediators of that organization - Gabil Askerov, Elchin Huseynov, Vusala Najafova participated.
Associate Professor Elmar Khalilov, vice-rector for social affairs and public relations of the university, opened the event and conveyed the greetings of rector Rufat Azizov to the participants. Emphasizing that the development of mediation and reforms in this field are intensive in Azerbaijan, he said that relevant legislative acts on mediation have been adopted. Noting the importance of the event, the vice-rector stated that the main goal is to increase the awareness of young people about mediation and its importance.
The special importance of educational meetings related to mediation was emphasized at the event, which was moderated by Associate Professor Amina Hasanova, Senior Lawyer of SSU.
Etibar Hasanov, head of Sumgayit Mediation Organization No. 1, gave detailed information about the mediation procedure, mediation legislation and other issues during the meeting.
