AN INFO SESSION ABOUT THE "TECHNOXIAN WORLD ROBOT CHAMPIONSHIP" COMPETITION WAS ORGANIZED AT SSU
On December 21, Sumgayit State University held an info session about the "Technoxian World Robot Championship" competition with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and the organization of the Azerbaijan Robotics Engineering Academy.
Assistant Professor Elmar Khalilov, vice-rector for social issues and public relations of SSU, welcomed the guests and participants and emphasized the importance of such competitions organized for young people in terms of developing robotics and digital skills. He said that due to scientific and technical progress, the field of robotics, along with other fields, is developing rapidly. The development of this field shows its influence on the automation and rapid development of the industry. In recent times, significant progress has been observed in this field in our country. Of course, great work is being done in this direction at Sumgayit State University. Thus, the Innovation and Creativity Center operates in the university. Here, students are successfully represented in various projects and competitions by realizing their ideas.
The technical head of Azerbaijan Robotics Engineering Academy, Mahammad Hajiyev, and the coordinator of the competition, Maryam Sulkhayeva, spoke and gave extensive information about the rules, projects and preparation of the competition. They said that although various Olympiads and competitions are organized in this category, the "Technoxian World Robot Championship" competition will be held for the first time in our country with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and the organization of the Azerbaijan Robotics Engineering Academy. The final stage of the "Technoxian World Robot Championship" competition in Azerbaijan is planned to be held in May 2024. Until the final stage, trainers will organize training and meetings in higher education institutions.
It should be noted that the final stage of the competition will be held in Delhi, India in 2024.
