Taking rapid steps towards internationalization, SDU continues to expand bilateral relations with foreign universities for the purpose of self-development of students and teaching staff.

For this purpose, on December 22, the delegation of China's Hebei University paid a business visit to Sumgait State University.

The purpose of the visit was to develop bilateral cooperation between universities and to ensure that SSU students benefit from the scholarship opportunities offered to foreign students at Hebei University.

Rector of Sumgayit State University Rufat Azizov opened the meeting, greeted the guests and expressed his pleasure to see them at the university. After a wide video presentation showing the wide educational opportunities and rich material and technical base of SSU, the guests, who gave information about the history, material and technical base, infrastructure, foreign relations and scholarship opportunities of Hebei University, after the meeting, the infrastructure of SSU, Heydar Aliyev Center, open sky they got to know the museum-polygon located under it.

At the event, the participation of SSU students in the Intergovernmental Scholarship Program (ISP) and international scholarship programs provided by Hebei University and other possibilities of bilateral cooperation were discussed. It should be noted that the University located in Hebei province has a history of 120 years. 25 Colleges operate within the university, which provides education in the fields of philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, engineering, management and art. It has established cooperative relations with higher education institutions in 25 countries and has exchange of teachers and students with more than 200 universities and online courses carried out scientific research cooperation. Every year, more than 600 foreign students from 5 continents and more than 40 countries study bachelors, masters and doctoral studies at Hebei University.

Hebei University Party Secretary Dai Jianbing, Business Faculty Dean Zhang Xuewen, Foreign Studies Faculty Russian Center Director Guo Xiaoli, Foreign Studies Faculty Teacher Cheng Hong, College of International Cultural Exchange Director Qi Xiaoyan, and SSU Vice-Chancellor for Teaching Organization and Learning Technologies attended the meeting from Hebei University.
