SSU STUDENTS AT ‘YARAT’ CONTEMPORARY ART CENTER
An excursion of our students to the ‘YARAT’ Contemporary Art Center was organized by the Student Trade Union Committee of Sumgait State University. The excursion was held with the aim of increasing the outlook of students in the field of culture and art.
First, The group exhibition named ‘Checked, there are no mines!’ by Farah Alakbarli, consists video installation and graphic works. The works focus on more fundamental cultural, social and environmental issues, dealing with the sensitive topic of post-conflict peace.
Then the students also participated in the individual exhibition of the People's Artist Farhad Khalilov called ‘Between the Earth and the Sky’ at the Center's ‘Museum of Azerbaijani Painting of the 20th-21st Centuries’. Paintings created by the artist over the last years and graphic works that have not been exhibited until now are exhibited here.
