Rector of Sumgayit State University Rufat Azizov held a meeting with the faculty on December 29 regarding the exam session of the fall semester of the 2023/2024 academic year.

The rector spoke about the importance of the meeting and said that the purpose of the exams is to ensure that the exams are held objectively and transparently, and at the same time, to accurately determine the knowledge and skills of the students. The rector gave detailed information about the rules and date  of the exams, he touched on the issues of ensuring the organization of the exam session based on the existing normative documents by the relevant structures, monitoring the organization and progress of the exam session, and the flexible consideration of students" applications on the spot. He noted that a regulatory order was signed in order to organize the examination session of the fall semester of the academic year 2023/2024 in accordance with the current rules of the Ministry of Science and Education, to ensure transparency and objectivity in the assessment of students" knowledge. The Examination Headquarters and the Appeals Commission were established in order to ensure transparency in the examination process and the evaluation of students" knowledge. The headquarters will be chaired by vice-rector for Science and innovations Elshad Abdullayev, and the Commission by Rector"s advisor, doctor of philosophy in pedagogy, associate professor Konul Abasli.

The exam session that started on December 29 of the current year will end on February 1, 2024.

Exams will be held in 2 shifts, students are provided with all conditions to demonstrate their level of knowledge.

The results of written exams are announced the next day, and the results of oral exams are announced during the exam.

Vice rector for Science and innovations Elshad Abdullayev, Rector's advisor, doctor of philosophy in pedagogy, associate professor Konul Abasli stated that he had a meeting with the students of each academic year separately on the eve of the exam session, gave them  recommendations, and explained that knowledge is the only criterion in the exams.
