OUR COLLEGUES PARTICIPATED IN THE BAKU MEETING OF THE ERASMUS+ ENGAGE PROJECT
From January 22 to 23, Baku Business University hosted a conference within the framework of the Erasmus+ project on ‘Strengthening the sustainable entrepreneurship ecosystem in Azerbaijan"s higher education institutions’ (ENGAGE), funded by the European Commission.
The main goal of the project is to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Azerbaijan"s higher educational institutions, develop the entrepreneurial mindset of academic staff and students, improve the innovative approach in our universities, increase practical components in the content of the educational process, expand startup activities and university-industry cooperation.
At the event, 11 local partners of the project (Mingachevir State University, Baku Business University, Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Azerbaijan Technical University, Baku Higher Oil School, Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, Azerbaijan Tourism and Management University, Ganja State University, Nakhchivan State University, Azerbaijan State Agrarian University, Odlar Yurdu University, National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Association for the Development of Women"s Entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan) and 5 European partners participated.
At the conference, the universities representing the European Union countries of the ENGAGE project - Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia; KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden; University of Lisbon, Portugal; Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Spain; Representatives of WSG University of Economics, Poland made presentations on relevant topics.
It should be noted that Sumgayit State University was represented at the conference by associate professor Ulduz Agayev, dean of the faculty of Engineering, associate professor Aynura Yahyayeva, dean of the faculty of Economics and Management, professor Javanshir Mammadov, head of the department of Process Automation, senior lecturer of the department of History and its teaching methodology, PhD.Samira Mammadova.
