THE SCIENTIFIC LIBRARY OF BSU DONATED BOOKS TO SSU ON THE OCCASION OF THE INTERNATIONAL BOOK DONATION DAY
On February 15, on the occasion of the International Book Donation Day, the Scientific Library of Baku State University (BSU) donated about 360 copies of 147 books in various specialties to the Scientific Library of Sumgayit State University (SSU). The donated books include international academic publications and textbooks translated from English to Azerbaijani related to Azerbaijani language and speech culture, Azerbaijani literature, history, pedagogy, ecology, geography, education, economy, management, banking, macro and microeconomics.
Speaking at the presentation event, director of the Scientific Library of Baku State University, Nigar Ismayilova, spoke about the role of books in the development of young people's outlook and said that the Scientific Library of BSU holds a book donation campaign every year on February 14. This year, following the tradition, the library donates newly printed BSU publications, textbooks and study materials for higher school students to Sumgayit State University.
Assoc.prof. Elmar Khalilov, vice-rector for Social issues and public relations of SSU, appreciated this kind of action and expressed his gratitude to Ms. Nigar, director of the Scientific Library of BSU.
