STUDENTS OF SSU HAVE WON THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ‘OLD AZERBAIJANI ALPHABET’ COURSE
The house in which Mir Jalal Pashayev lived in the 1920s and 1940s was renovated by his family, and on the 109th anniversary of the writer"s birth, ‘The Writer"s House’ was made available to culture lovers as a Literary Support Fund and a house museum. The purpose of establishing the ‘Writer"s House’ Literary Support Fund is to turn this place into a center of literature and culture, thereby continuing the legacy of Mir Jalal.
Currently, the ‘Old Azerbaijani alphabet’ course is organized here. 6 students of the Faculty of Philology of SSU applied to participate in the classes. Among them, first-year students Aliyev Kanan and Aghazade Raksana won a scholarship from the ‘House of Writers’ and won the right to participate in the ‘Old Azerbaijani Alphabet’ course.
It is gratifying that with the interesting and easy-to-understand educational program of Dr. Shahla Abdullayeva, our students will soon become researchers who can work with archival materials written in the old alphabet.
Another admirable initiative of the ‘Writer"s House’ museum was met with great interest among the students of the Faculty of Philology of SSU. Thus, the museum has started the next story competition with a total prize amount of 6 thousand manats.
It should be noted that about 30 students from SSU applied for the story competition.
