A TRAINING ON "CYBER ATTACKS AND DEFENSE AGAINST THEM" WAS HELD AT THE FACULTY OF MATHEMATICS
On February 22, a training on "Cyber attacks and defense against them" was held under the organization of the department of Informatics according to the Global Innovation Index Plan.
Gulnara Abbasova, associate professor of the department of Informatics, spoke at the training about the relevance of the topic, saying that the rapid development of information and communication technologies (ICT) brought with it a number of problems. In particular, the new technologies that facilitate the availability of information have also made security problems more urgent in the virtual world.
Associate professor Gulnara Abbasova gave the students extensive information about the concept of cyber security, cyber attacks, ways to protect against cyber attacks, Trojans in the Windows operating system, and in the Android operating system, ARP Spoofing and ARP Poisoning Beef, Phishing.
Nijat Babayev, a student of the Faculty of Mathematics, using modern ICT equipment, demonstrated the information related to the topic in the form of a presentation, through a video clip based on practical examples.
