VII DEBATE-SPEECH TOURNAMENT WAS STARTED AT SSU
On March 9, at Sumgayit State University, the VII Debate-speech tournament dedicated to the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World" with the support of STUC and the organization of the Debate Club was launched.
Associate professor Elmar Khalilov, vice rector for Social affairs and public relations of SSU, greeted the participants and wished them success. The vice-rector spoke about the importance of the topic of the debate. He said that the transition to alternative energy is one of the main goals facing our country. Our country has a high potential for renewable energy sources. The process of turning the liberated territories into green energy zones has already started.
Later, the chairman of Debate club, Anar Gurbanov, gave information about the tournament and noted that 14 teams participated in the tournament. He said that the debate was held with the aim of developing the speaking, research, persuasive and presentation skills of young people.
The competition was managed by the judges of the Debate Public Union in Civil Society, along with the judges of our university's students.
It should be noted that the winning teams will be determined in the following weeks.
