Students of Sumgait Dunya School went on an excursion to SSU
On March 12, a group of students of Sumgait Dunya School visited the university at the initiative of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Sumgait State University.
Associate Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences Rashad Salimov, Deputy Dean Associate Professor Sabir Alakbarov and Director of the University's Career and Alumni Center Nasiba Amirbeyova gave the students extensive information about SSU. Rashad Salimov noted that today Sumgait State
University continues and develops its activity in all areas not only as a scientific and educational institution, but also as a cultural center. Nasiba Amirbeyova gave a broad speech about the work done in the direction of expanding the relations of the university with the city secondary schools. She noted that in this direction, our students have pedagogical experience in secondary general education schools, they test themselves in this process by applying the acquired theoretical knowledge, skills and habits.
Schoolchildren toured the educational buildings of the university and visited the Heydar Aliyev Center, separate faculties, auditoriums, laboratories, Scientific library, classrooms and gymnasium, as well as the dormitory. They also got to know the conditions organized in the university yard for students to spend their free time effectively.
Later, the students were closely acquainted with various laboratory works related to chemistry and biology at the faculty and left the university with good impressions.
