PLANTING ACTION WAS HELD AT SSU
On March 12, a tree-planting action was held at Sumgait State University within the framework of the ‘Year of Solidarity for the Green World’ at the initiative of the Language and Translation Center of SSU, with the support of ‘Ekoklub’.
In connection with the declaration of 2024 as the ‘Year of Solidarity for the Green World’ in the Republic of Azerbaijan, the management, employees and students of the higher education institution took part in the action for the implementation of the measures provided for in the University's Action Plan.
Addressing the participants of the action, the rector of SSU, associate professor Rufat Azizov, evaluated such an action within the framework of the ‘Year of Solidarity for the Green World’ as an indicator of the attitude of university employees and students to the environment and noted that such events will continue.
Later, the tree planting campaign was started and the university administration, employees and students planted fruit trees on the territory of SSU.
