Our students went on an excursion to Beshbarmag ‘bottleneck’ on April 1 - International Bird Day
In connection with the International Bird Day, on March 30, students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences went on an excursion to the Beshbarmag ‘bottleneck’, which passes between the Caucasus Mountains and the Caspian Sea in Siyazan district, under the guidance of Aysel Aghayeva, senior teacher of the Department of Biology and its Teaching Methodology, Associate Professor Rafig Huseynov and ornithologist Abdin Abbasov.
The purpose of organizing the excursion was to acquaint the students with the rich bird fauna of Azerbaijan, rare bird species included in the Red Book. During the excursion, about 300 birds of 31 species were observed and counted.
