STUDENTS OF SSU WERE SUCCESSFUL IN THE INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIAD
On March 27, 2024, the traditional VII International Subject Olympiad was held in a two-stage online format on the topic "Fundamentals of automated management in technical systems" at the Ufa State Petroleum Technical University (USPTU), which is co-chaired by the Russian side of the Association of Russian-Azerbaijani Universities. The working languages of the Olympiad were Russian and English.
The Olympiad covered wide areas such as the basics of automation of technological processes, management in technical systems, measurement and telecommunication systems, metrological guarantees of measurement, smart city. 105 teams, including 25 universities from the Russian Federation, 3 universities from the Republic of Kazakhstan, and 2 universities from the People's Republic of China participated in the Olympiad.
Under the leadership of professor Javanshir Mammadov and the curatorship of professor Fazil Alakbarli, the students of the Process Automation specialization of Sumgayit State University (SSU), who is the co-chairman of the Association from the Azerbaijan side, participated in the Olympiad.
According to the results of the Olympiad, SSU's team scored 75 points and took the 3rd place in the team competition, and our students entered the list of winners in the individual competitions.
