SSU STUDENTS MADE AN EXCURSION TO "CLEAN CITY" OPEN JOINT STOCK COMPANY WITHIN THE "YEAR OF SOLIDARITY FOR THE GREEN WORLD"
The 3rd year students of Sumgait State University, majoring in Ecology and Ecological engineering, went on an excursion to "Clean city" Open Joint Stock Company under the leadership of the teaching staff of the department of Ecology as part of the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World".
As it is known, "Clean city" Open Joint Stock Company was founded by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev "On improving the management of household waste in Baku" dated August 6, 2008. On March 12, 2009, "Clean city" Open Joint Stock.
Company, which was registered with the state, started to work in the direction of stabilizing the environmental situation by establishing the waste placement and neutralization system in Baku city based on the most modern technologies.
During the excursion, the students got acquainted with the Balakhani solid household waste sorting plant, Balakhani Industrial Park and Baku municipal solid waste incineration plants. They were clearly explained the processes, working principles and schemes in the factories.
