Training on financial literacy continues at SSU
On April 25, the next trainings on ‘Financial Literacy’ were held at Sumgait State University.
The training, which was organized by the Faculty of Economics and Management of SSU, and was organized by the relevant structural specialists of the Central Bank, attended by students as well as employees of the University, began with the speech of Zulfiyya Hajiyeva, the head teacher of the Department of Business Organization and Management, Doctor of Philosophy in Economics.
The speaker of today's training organized around the topic of ‘Financial Literacy’ called the participants to be active, noting that the development of digital payments by banks in our country, the policy of the Central Bank and the projects implemented in this direction are of interest to consumers.
Lamiya Garalova, senior specialist of the Financial Literacy Department of the Central Bank, speaking on the topic of ‘Family Budget Planning’, noted the importance of organizing a family budget for all periods and noted that it is one of the main factors in cost management. Specific examples were drawn about the role played by errors in cost forecasting, its correct and accurate determination, in this planning.
Khayala Mammadova, Senior Specialist of the Central Bank's Payment Systems and Settlements Department, speaking about the digitization of economy and financial services, the development directions of digital payments, noted that 60 percent of payments in today's consumer market are made through non-cash settlement. Speaking about consumer-bank relations, the senior expert informed consumers that it is important to carefully familiarize themselves with all the documents provided by the bank they are clients to avoid unexpected misunderstandings.
The training, which continued with the interactivity of the participants, was continued by answering questions about cyber security, mobile applications and other issues.
