AN EDUCATIONAL EVENT WAS HELD AT SSU BY THE SUMGAIT CITY BRANCH OF THE RED CRESCENT SOCIETY
On April 26, an educational event on first aid was held by the Sumgait city branch of the Red Crescent Society at Sumgait State University.
Speaking at the event, the chairman of the Trade Union Committee of the university, assoc.prof.Nemat Ibayev spoke about the effective activity of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society, which operates in the field of charity based on the principle of humanism and volunteerism, and the benevolent and humanitarian actions carried out in this direction by the Sumgait State University together with the Sumgait city branch of the RCS. He noted that Sumgait State University regularly implements joint events with the Sumgait city branch of the Red Crescent Society in support of such good initiatives.
Matanat Maharramova, the chair of the Sumgait city branch of the Red Crescent Society, made a speech and spoke about the activities of the institution she leads and the projects implemented. She said that the purpose of holding such events is to form first aid skills among students and at the same time to conduct educational work in this field.
Then the collaborators of the Sumgait city branch of RCS informed the students about the provision of first medical aid in various situations, the organization of assistance in cases of bleeding caused by various traumas, the provision of artificial respiration and other processes.
At the end of the event, students' questions were answered.
