On May 1, the "Open Door" days, which were organized by the joint initiative of Sumgait State University and the Absheron-Khizi Regional Education department for the purpose of familiarization with the university for secondary school students located in our city, ended their work.
During the meetings, the students were informed about the activities of the university, material and technical base, faculties, specialties and laboratories that meet the most modern requirements. Then the students toured the university and visited the Heydar Aliyev Center, auditoriums, rich laboratories equipped with modern equipment, as well as a chess board, football, volleyball and basketball courts with artificial covering, corners for board games and the "Student House" created in the courtyard of the university for the efficient organization of students' free time.
It was mentioned in the meetings that the university is expanding its relations with schools. In order to create interest in science among schoolchildren, Sumgait State University regularly organizes Olympiads in various specialties by fulfilling its great mission, and achievements are made in the "Scientists of Tomorrow" competition of Sumgait schoolchildren.
Appreciating this step of Sumgait State University, school representatives expressed their gratitude to the university administration.
