Foreign Languages Speaking Courses continue successfully

Since its inception, the Sumgait State University emphasizes better teaching of foreign languages through use of up-to-day methods in order to increase quality and bring innovation into the education process. Therefore, Foreign Languages Speaking Courses have been started at the university. The main goal of the Courses is to develop the students’ speaking and oral apprehension skills.

On December 25, 2015, the next speaking club of the Foreign Languages Chair was organized. This German language club was conducted by Ms. Almaz Mehdiyeva, a teacher of German language. The club was attended by students, teachers and other staff of the Foreign Languages Chair.

First of all, the students introduced themselves and greeted the attendees under the sounds of the German music. Ms. Almaz Mehdiyeva made a presentation on “Our University” in German. The students explained perfectly the information on the University in the presentation.Then, they constructed dialogues among themselves, showing their language skills.

It is specifically noted that the students attending learned the German following their admission to the Sumgait State University, as they were taught another foreign language during school years. It is the intensive work of the University teacher that allowed the students to develop their language skills.

At the end of the presentation, professor Nigar Isgandarova, the Chair of the Foreign Languages Chair expressed her gratitude to the Professor Elkhan Huseynov, the Rector of the SDU for the support to their efforts to teach foreign languages and also thanked Ms. Mehdiyeva for the interesting meeting and active participation of the students.
