On May 20, a round table called "History of Climate Change" was held within the framework of the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World 2024" announced in Azerbaijan by the department of History and its teaching methodology of the faculty of History and geography of Sumgait State University.
Professor Adil Bakhshaliyev, dean of the faculty of History and geography, opened the round table with an introductory speech and talked about the factors that make the discussions on this topic relevant. Talking about the problems threatening the world, of which our country is a part, the dean of the faculty spoke about the role that every scientist can play a role in solving this problem. Green World" in the Republic of Azerbaijan, signed by President Ilham Aliyev on December 25, 2023, is a conceptual document.
Associate professor Sona Maharramova, head of the department of History and its teaching methodology, reminded that a number of measures are being done in our country to improve the environment, restore and increase greenery and other areas. It was noted that the unanimous decision to hold the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change in Azerbaijan our country's activities played a great role in this direction.
