On the 28th of December “The theme of Caucasus in Russian writers creative works” was held recital of famous Russian writers M.Y.Lermontov and S.Yesenin at our University by initiative Department of Foreign Languages.
The vice rector of Science and Innovation prof. RamazanMammadov, the head of Department of Foreign Languages prof. NigarIsgandarova, the head  of Philosophy and Law Department prof. HasanSadiqov, the employees of Russia Information Centre YakuninaLyubovTiomofeyevna, NatiqAliyev and students took part in this recital.
The head teacher of Foreign Languages Department TaranaQuliyeva, assistant professor SonaMammadova, the head assistant of department ShafaqQasimova, the students of first year course of Philology faculty HuruneyArasova, NailaZeynalova informed about literary heritage of famous writers. They noted that Lermontov spent a part of his short life in the Caucasus, he tried to learn Azerbaijani  language, interested in our peopleʾs folklore, legends and eposes.
Then, it was mentioned about Yeseninʾs literary activity. Yesenin is considered to be the most lyrics Russian poet.When he was alive, about 30 books were published. His first book was “Radunitcha”, the last was “ Persian motives”. During 1924-1925 years 39 works were published in Baki press.
At the end of the evening the film was watched about Lermontovʾs and S.Yeseninʾs life and activity.
