SSU students were awarded certificates of TUDVA

On May 29, certificates were awarded to a group of students of Sumgait State University (SSU) who participated in the ‘Turkish World Digital Citizenship Project’ - TUDVA. Saadat Humbataliyeva, associate professor of the Faculty of Economics and Management, who opened the presentation ceremony of the TUDVA project, informed that the project was prepared in accordance with the ‘Turkish World-2040 Vision Document’ and that it operates in 15 Turkish countries, including Azerbaijan, according to the decision of the Turkish World Symposium. It was reported that the project continues with the cooperation of 90 universities, with the participation of more than 130 scientists and more than 300 volunteers, and more than 10,000 students. Later, it was emphasized that the main goal of the project, in which more than 10 scientific and educational institutions, including SSU of our country, participate, is to create a digital citizenship consciousness that reflects the cultural similarities of Turks in a wide area. It was reported that 86 of our students participated in the 14-week online training program and were awarded a certificate, and two of our representatives were given the opportunity to train in Turkiye. SSU vice-rector for international relations, associate professor Konul Abasli congratulated the students on their achievements. Later, the vice-rector emphasized that the main task facing modern education is to create harmony with the labor market. Noting that tomorrow's graduates need more information and networking to build a career, she expressed confidence that today's successes will be reflected in the students' biographies. Konul Abasli also emphasized that students can further develop themselves by joining such international projects in addition to studying at SSU. The students who were awarded the certificate expressed their gratitude to the management and organizers of the University for enabling them to participate in the TUDVA international project and emphasized that they are happy that they chose SSU as a higher education institution. Later, certificates were presented.
