An employee of SSU participated in international events coordinated by Azerbaijan State University of Economics
A management meeting was held on May 22 with the participation of local and foreign guests within the framework of the project ‘Improving Green and Sustainable Economy in Azerbaijan Universities: Renewable Energy and Mitigation of Climate Change – REFRESH’ in which the coordinator of Azerbaijan State University of Economics and partner of Sumgait State University are partners. Representatives of Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Sumgait State University, Azerbaijan University of Technology, Ganja State University, Mingachevir State University, Lankaran State University, Technical University of Denmark, University of Bologna and Sweden's KTH Royal Institute of Technology took part in the meeting.
During the meeting, the quality plan of the REFRESH project, the work done and planned under the work packages, the speakers' speech at the panel dedicated to the REFRESH project at the ISCEMR-2024 Conference, the project's publicity plan and the opportunities for project partners to participate in the COP29 event to be organized in Baku in November, as well as Azerbaijan's hosting of the COP29 event issues such as importance were discussed.
The guests who participated in the management meeting also participated in the VI International Scientific Conference of Researchers in the Field of Economics and Management jointly organized by the Heydar Aliyev Center, (UNEC), Regional Development Public Union, International Master and Doctorate Center on May 23. It should be noted that within the framework of the conference, a special panel was held based on the implementation of the promotion plan of the project ‘Improving the Green and Sustainable Global Economy in Azerbaijani Universities: Renewable Energy and Reducing Climate Change – REFRESH’. In the 1st panel of the event with the same name as the REFRESH project, the representatives of the project's external partners, Italy's University of Bologna, Denmark's Technical University, and Sweden's KTH Royal Institute of Technology, spoke as speakers, shared the experiences of the countries they represent on the topic, and made comparative analyzes on Azerbaijan and answered questions from the audience.
