On the initiative of "Times Higher Education" (THE) International Rating Agency, the "Global Sustainable Development Congress" is being held in Bangkok, the capital of the Kingdom of Thailand. More than 3,000 global leaders and innovators from more than 100 countries of the world joined the discussion on "Sustainable development".The congress, organized by the State Agency for Science and Higher Education with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, started on June 10 and will continue until the 13th. It should be noted that Sumgait State University is also represented in the Azerbaijan pavilion. In addition, on June 13, SSU rector Rufat Azizov will speak as a speaker at the "Sustainable development practices panel of Azerbaijan" . Within the framework of the Congress, the results of the "THE Impact 2024" rating, in which the activities of universities are evaluated according to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, will be officially announced by the "Times Higher Education" (THE) international rating agency.
