Participants of the ‘Future Engineers’ training program met with guest speakers
On June 20, the next session of the ‘Future Engineers’ training program organized by Sumgait State University together with STP Group of Companies is dedicated to Speakers' Day.
In the first part of the training, Rovshan Bayramov, the operations support services manager of SOCAR ADC, shared his personal experience with the students and made a presentation on ‘Team-based career path success
guide’, he talked about engineering leadership, technological support, and management of multi-faceted complex operations under difficult conditions.
During the training, the speaker gave detailed information about the application and development of the latest technologies used in large oil and gas fields around the world in Azerbaijan, as well as some critical equipment, and a video clip was presented on this topic.
In the second part of the training, Rector of SSU, Associate Professor Rufat Azizov, spoke about the importance of the ‘Future Engineers’ training program, and informed the students studying engineering about the purpose and prospects of the training.
Elkhan Bashirov, operations manager for the North Rumeyla field of the Middle East region of BP, spoke on the topic ‘Process safety and leadership in operations’ and gave detailed information about safety in the engineering process, the work done abroad related to these processes, and the dangers that arise in the industry as a result of improper management of operations.
The training ended with discussions based on the questions addressed by the participants.
