On August 9, Anar Gullerli, a graduate student of the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Sumgait State University, presented "Young Chemists!" a seminar was held within the framework of the project. The project won the "Make the Idea 2023" Youth Individual Projects Grant competition announced by the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The seminar was opened by Associate Professor Elmar Khalilov, Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Public Relations of SSU, who emphasized the importance of the project. After that, the project manager Anar Gullerli gave detailed information about the goals of the project to the participants. He stated that the main goal of this project is to convey to young people the importance of practical work along with theoretical knowledge in the process of teaching Chemistry. Raising the knowledge level of young chemists, ensuring their development in the field of chemistry and encouraging creative thinking are among the main priorities of the project.
Associate Professor Elshad Abdullayev, Vice Rector for Science and Innovations of SSU, gave a speech on "Modern Approaches and Problems in Teaching Chemistry" at the seminar. He shared his views on ways to improve the teaching of chemistry.
Then Amil Jafarov, the Chemistry teacher of Sabah courses, gave a speech on "Students' difficulties in learning chemistry" and explained the difficulties encountered in the teaching process in schools and the ways to solve them.
The seminar ended with questions and answers and discussions. At the end, certificates were presented to the participants.
