Oxford University and Sumgayit State University have started cooperation within the framework of "Climate Change" measures
The global competition "Climate Change Challenge" organized by Oxford University (Saïd Business School) is being implemented this year with the support of Sumgayit State University. An Endorsement Agreement has been signed on this cooperation.
The main goal of the competition is to involve young people aged 15-18 and general education teachers in the development of practical solutions for the elimination of major climate problems such as air pollution, extreme weather conditions, water scarcity, food security and loss of biodiversity, and to develop creativity and critical thinking among participants. More than 600 applications from nearly 50 countries are expected to participate in the competition.
The competition is based on five main challenges that threaten the climate:

• water shortage
• food safety
• biodiversity

It should be noted that the final stage of the competition is planned to be held in Baku during COP29 and the winners will be awarded at a prestigious event. Winners will also be eligible to participate in a climate change program led by world-leading scientists at Oxford University (Saïd Business School) in 2025.
