On October 26, at the Sumgait State Drama Theater, "The leading role: Youth!" project presentation ceremony was held. This project, sponsored by the Youth Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was led by Aysha Amrahova, the winner of the "Make the Idea - 2023" Youth Individual Projects Grant competition, and was carried out with the cooperation of the Student Trade Union Committee of SSU and the Sumgait State Drama Theater. It started with a minute"s silence and the playing of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Speaking at the opening speech, rector of Sumgait State University associate professor Rufat Azizov emphasized the importance of active participation of young people in such projects and noted that modern education is not limited to imparting knowledge, but should also encourage young people to be creative and active in public life. A stage play called "History Representative Nation-Unknown" was shown. This play brings to the stage the struggle of Akhundzade and Zardabi, the pioneers of Azerbaijani enlightenment, for the progress of the people, and makes young people understand the importance of protecting our national and cultural values. The play covered topics such as the formation of enlightened ideas in Azerbaijani society, the development of science and the fight against superstition. At the end, active participation in the project certificates were presented to the young people who participated. The event ended with a commemorative photo. It should be noted that during the project, a total of 94 students from SSU participated in the trainings, 70 of them were awarded with certificates, and 25 students were selected for their special activity.
