The delegation of Hexi University of the People"s Republic of China paid a business visit to Sumgayit State University (SSU).Rector of SSU Rufat Azizov, welcoming the guests with his opening speech, informed about the development of Sumgait, a large industrial city of the country, and goals of Sumgait State University,its strategic directions,mission, and its activities. He pointed out that important steps have been taken in the direction of the development of education in the country in recent years, and as a result, important achievements have been made in updating the content of education at SSU.Noting that one of the strategic goals of SSU is internationalization, Rufat Azizov noted the importance of developing international cooperation relations in this direction. He said that SSU is expanding its international relations day by day and is taking important and successful steps in the direction of teacher-student mobility.After that, a video showing Sumgait State University"s wide educational opportunities and rich material and technical base was shown.The vice president of Hexi University, professor Gao Rong, expressed his gratitude to the university management for the warm welcome, spoke about the friendship and bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and China, and emphasized his satisfaction with the opportunities for mutual exchanges between Sumgait State University and Hexi University.He gave detailed information about the history and international relations of Hexi University and talked about the projects and programs implemented together with various educational and scientific centers of the world. After that, a video showing the history, international relations, scientific research activities of Hexi University was displayed.At the meeting, a wide range of ideas were exchanged on the establishment of mutually beneficial cooperation. Student-teacher exchange, joint scientific research issues were discussed.Later, the gursəs had the opportunity to get acquainted with the campus of the university.
