The Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Education Workers (RCFTUEW), a member of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan (CTU), presented 100 students who actively participated in education and the student trade union movement with a “Named Scholarship” in the amount of 300 AZN. 4 students of Sumgayit State University (SSU) - Aysha Amrahova, Zhala Mammadova, Elnur Piriyev and Zeynab Aliyeva were awarded. Congratulating them, the acting rector of SSU, Professor Aminaga Sadigov, said that the education policy of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is being implemented as one of the main components of the development strategy of our country and spoke about the youth policy of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. He emphasized the attention and care shown by the National Leader to the youth of Azerbaijan and spoke about the positive results of this policy in the field of science and education. He noted that on the initiative of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, hundreds of Azerbaijani youth were sent to various cities of the USSR to receive higher education every year. He emphasized that he was among those youth. Aminaga Sadigov, emphasizing that the term of the “State Program for 2022–2026 on Education of Youth in Prestigious Higher Educational Institutions of Foreign Countries” of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has been extended to 2022–2028, added that hundreds of Azerbaijani youth study at prestigious universities around the world every year. At the end of his speech, he once again congratulated the students who were awarded the “Named Scholarship” and presented them gifts. It should be noted that the “Named Scholarship” project of RCFTUEW has been implemented since 1995. The main goal of the project is to support the educational development of students and young people who study with excellent and good grades in various universities of the country and at the same time encourage them to actively participate in the trade union movement.
