On March 6, the acting rector of Sumgayit State University, professor Aminaga Sadigov met with university employees who are members of the families of martyrs on the eve of March 8 - International Women"s Day. First, the memory of those who died for the independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country was commemorated with a minute of silence. Professor Aminaga Sadigov congratulated the mothers of martyrs and their family members on March 8 - International Women"s Day and conveyed his best wishes to them. He emphasized that Azerbaijani women have been an example of heroism, courage, beauty and loyalty throughout history. Speaking about the irreplaceable role of women in the historic victory achieved in the Patriotic War, the professor also noted that it was Azerbaijani women who gave birth to our martyrs, veterans and soldiers who sacrificed their lives for Karabakh, instilled in them the spirit of patriotism and gave them the right upbringing. Aminaga Sadigov also spoke about the combat operations conducted by our army under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, to restore the territorial integrity of our country, the historical victory achieved, and the heroism and courage shown by our martyrs in achieving this victory. A.Sadigov also spoke about the exemplary image of First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, as an Azerbaijani woman, and the attention and care she showed to the families of martyrs, especially the mothers of martyrs. Finally, the members of the martyrs" families expressed their gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva for the high attention and care shown to them, and expressed their gratitude to the university administration for organizing the meeting.
