The first meeting of the Group on Technical, Technological and Special Purpose Specialties was held at Baku Engineering University (BEU). Acting Rector of Sumgayit State University, professor Aminaga Sadigov attended at the meeting along with the rectors of a number of higher education institutions. The co-chair of the group, BEU rector Yagub Piriyev made a speech and emphasized the importance of specialization that meets modern requirements at the master"s level. He also proposed to submit a list of specializations, including representatives and students from each higher education institution, as well as specialists in the labor market. He stated that the working group to be created will determine the specializations and submit them to the Ministry of Science and Education. After discussion, the issues on the agenda of the meeting were put to a vote and unanimously adopted.
