On May 26, a Forum and Career Exhibition titled "Solidarity with Industry: The Power of Production and Global Impacts" was held at Sumgayit State University, aimed at integrating young people into the labor market and encouraging them to engage in professional activities. Organized by the Career and Alumni Center of Sumgayit State University, under the general sponsorship of "SOCAR Polymer", the event was held within the framework of the joint cooperation of the State Employment Agency, the Youth Development and Career Center, as well as Sumgayit State Technical College. At the event, participants first laid bouquets of flowers in front of the bust of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the university lobby and paid tribute to his memory. During the Forum, which continued in the Great Assembly Hall, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the martyrs, and the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played. The Acting Rector of Sumgayit State University, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Aminagha Sadigov opened the Forum and greeted the guests and participants.

Addressing the students, Aminagha Sadigov emphasized that the Forum is a good opportunity for those who want to build a career, noting that it creates motivation for promising jobs. Stating that the interaction and beneficial cooperation of Sumgayit State University, operating in the center of the Sumgayit industrial city, with enterprises contributes to the preparation of highly qualified personnel, the professor emphasized its importance for studying the requirements of the labor market.

Talking about joint projects with the Absheron-Khizi Regional Employment Branch, Aminagha Sadigov said that today, not only in Azerbaijan, but also throughout the world, the most urgent need for personnel in the fields of information technologies, artificial intelligence, and programming, and that the task of universities is to train personnel who will meet these requirements. Noting that as a result of President Ilham Aliyev's purposeful policy regarding the development of the non-oil sector in our country, these specialties have become a priority in our country, Aminagha Sadigov spoke about the prospects facing universities.

Members of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan Hijran Huseynova and Mehriban Valiyeva, and Abdul Bayramov, Head of the Absheron-Khizi Regional Employment Branch, spoke about the responsibilities of the country's higher, secondary specialized and vocational education schools in times of strict demands on the labor market, recalling the crucial role of the knowledge and skills of youth in these circumstances.

Then, the panel discussion, which began with the moderation of Sevinj Gasimova, Director of the Absheron-Khizi Regional Office of the Youth Development and Career Center, continued on the topic of “The Role of Participants in the Development of Education and Industry”. The speakers - Araz Mammadzade, Director of the Education and Innovation Center of “Azerishig” OJSC, Marif Aslanov, Production Manager of “Azersun” Paper and Cardboard Production Corporation, Bulent Kalkan, Executive Director of the “Biotechfuel” plant, Nurlan Akhundov, Head of the HSE Department of the SOCAR Carbamide Plant, gave their recommendations to young people who intend to build a career in the organizations they represent. After the forum, the vice-rector of the university, professor Aminagha Sadigov and guests got acquainted with the Career Exhibition organized on the campus. At the exhibition, students and graduates of the university had the opportunity to find a real career in accordance with their specialties and establish contacts with employers. The forum continued with a concert program by members of an amateur group consisting of university students.
