Four students of the Faculty of Engineering of Sumgayit State University (SSU) (Telman Adigozalov, Sanan Musazadeh, Farid Mammadov, Solmaz Ganbarova) have had the opportunity to participate in the summer internship program at “SOCAR Turkiye”. 3 of them are studying Process Automation Engineering, and 1 is studying Chemical Engineering.On July 8, the university’s Acting Rector, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Aminaga Sadigov met with students who will participate in the summer internship program. During the meeting, Aminaga Sadigov emphasized the university’s purposeful activities aimed at improving students’ professional development and labor market readiness. Professor Aminaga Sadigov noted that students’ specialties are a priority in the labor market and drew attention to the fact that these areas have wide application opportunities in industry. At the same time, during his conversation with the students, he was interested in the interview stage they went through to be selected for the internship program, listened to their opinions on the importance of the program, and advised them to constantly improve their foreign language skills.

 

Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Associate Professor Ulduz Aghayev, spoke and noted the continuous support of SOCAR Downstream and SOCAR Turkiye to our students. He noted that every year, SSU students are involved in internship programs at various SOCAR departments and production facilities, international companies operating in our country, as well as at the fraternal Turkish company Petkim. Associate Professor Ulduz Aghayev added that our students will undergo industrial internship at the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery from July 9 to August 7, and at SOCAR Turkiye from August 11 to September 5. Acting Director of the University's Career and Alumni Center Ruhengiz Amirova gave detailed information about the activities carried out by the center and upcoming innovations. She noted that these internship programs are of great importance for students as the first step in their careers. The students also took turns speaking and providing information about their majors and expressed their gratitude to the university's rector, professor Aminaga Sadigov, for the support and opportunities provided to them in their future development as professionals.
