On September 4, the next interview stage was organized at Sumgayit State University (SSU) for candidates wishing to re-enter higher education in the 2025/2026 academic year. Opening the event, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovations, Associate Professor Elshad Abdullayev emphasized the importance of second higher education for society and the labor market. He noted that within the framework of this program, students are given the opportunity to start from the 1st or 2nd year of their choice, a form of correspondence education is applied in the educational process, and the acceptance of necessary documents is carried out on the basis of special rules. Then, the senior specialist of the Educational and Methodological Center, Sabir Behbudov spoke and provided detailed information to the candidates about the interview process, the advantages of second higher education, and the questions of interest to students. In the continuation of the interview, the participants were individually interviewed by commissions formed by specialties. It should be noted that the initial stage of the interview for second higher education was held on July 9, 2025. The work done in this direction at SSU aims to provide new opportunities for individuals who meet the requirements of the labor market and want to obtain different specialties.
