On December 15, a master class was held on the topic of “Financial technologies: Digital currencies” organized by the Faculty of Economics and management of Sumgayit State University (SSU). The Head of the Business Management Department, associate professor Galib Huseynov opened the master class and spoke about the importance of the topic. He emphasized that in the modern era, financial technologies and digital currencies are of great significance for the students’ professional development and their future career opportunities. Then, a teacher of SSU, expert Elnur Guliyev gave a master class on the topic of “Financial technologies: Digital currencies”. He briefed the students on working principles of digital currencies, the development directions of financial technologies, investment instruments, and possible risks in this field. At the same time, he spoke about the ways of earning income through bitcoins, altcoins, and cryptocurrencies. The event continued in an interactive format, and students participated actively by asking questions on the topic. In conclusion, the dean of the Faculty, associate professor Logman Abdullayev thanked for the organization of the master class, and noted that such events make a great contribution to develop the students’ knowledge and skills.
