On December 16, a meeting was organized with the group representatives of the first-year students of the Faculties of Philology, Natural Sciences, at the initiative of the Quality Assurance and Strategy Department. Director of the Teaching and Methodological Center, Associate Professor Elnare Memmedova, the department’s employees and the group representatives attended the meeting. Director of the Teaching and Methodological Center, Associate Professor Elnare Memmedova provided students with the information about the teaching and learning process, assessment mechanisms and work carried out in this field. A specialist of the Quality Assurance and Strategy Department, Shams Shirinova made a speech and gave detailed information about the main aspects of the department’s activities, the surveys conducted to measure student satisfaction, and the importance of active participation in these surveys. She spoke about the mechanisms for organizing surveys, as well as practices such as interviews, suggestion boxes, and open door days, and encouraged the group representatives to be actively involved in these processes. In addition, information was provided by the department’s staff about the innovations implemented at the university based on the survey results. At the end of the meeting, the questions and suggestions of the participants were listened to, and discussions were held on various topics. It should be noted that on December 12, a meeting on the same topic was held by the Quality Assurance and Strategy Department with the group representatives of the faculties of Mathematics, History and Geography, Economics and Management.
